After not really being a boxing game fan, I picked up the demo for Fight Night Round 4 for the X Box 360, and I have to say, I was impressed. Here’s a trailer describing the graphics and such.

Up “UP” and Away

Posted by Oglesby | Entertainment,Family,Movies | Sunday 31 May 2009 7:02 pm

**NOTE: I saw the movie at a pre-screening and it was not in 3-Ddisneypixar-up

Disney/Pixar’s latest creation “Up” has all the well defined crisp CGI that is to be expected in a tale of adventure. By tying thousands of balloons to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.

The film has it’s share of ups and downs (No pun intended), as well as the standard adult jokes that small ones just don’t get. This was one of the more depressing Pixar films in the catalog and in the first 10 minutes you come to realize why 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen is so grumpy, but it does not take away from this story’s spirit of adventure.

The script was well written, the voice actors sold their parts, and the cgi was flawless. All in all it was a, dare i say it, “cute” film and a good one for the whole family to see.

What can I say about Drag Me To Hell other than.. OMFG Crab Battle!! This is easily my favorite Sam Raimi film since Army of Darkness!

In all honesty, I went in thinking I was going to get brutal in-your-face scary shit, boy was I wrong!

Terminator: Salvation-Full of “Meh”

For me, I didn’t expect too much from Terminator: Salvation. I expected robots, explosions, John Connor being mad about shit and yelling, and maybe a little bit of the mythology of man vs. machine. I didn’t expect too much, and I was not disappointed.

Ideas for teh Future

Posted by MK2Fac3 | Comics,Entertainment,Geektastic,Movies,Video Games | Friday 29 May 2009 10:53 pm

Hey guys,

As I mentioned on Twitter, I have some ideas going on, it was posted after I asked about our listeners liking video games. So, without further ado..

Here’s the deal. At most conventions, E3 and Sand Diego ComiCon to be specific, they allow press passes to members of the media, and since both of these conventions cover what we cover in our Podcast, we figured what better place for us to be! (amirite?!?)

So, we mentioned this before, and I’ll bring it up again, we would like to make a Pay Pal account that would allow for donations to get us the money together so that we can make it to these conventions. For the record, we would of course, live stream from our hotel rooms and even Skype people in from the floor of the convention hall, providing there is decent wifi, with whatever Skype program is available to us (right now, Skype via iPhone) with anyone that has questions about what we are seeing and what games are playable (E3).

Again, we do whatever we can for you guys and we would love to be able to do this, but we really need to make the site at least seem like it is generating traffic. :)

So, let us know in the comments section what you think about this idea.

Thanks guys!
